H.I.D continues to live up to its name as the most Healthy and Irresistibly Delicious burger in town. (That’s in case you haven’t figured out what HID stands for).
I have been to a lot of burger joints but this is the one place that I keep going back to. This burger place serves the best tasting burger at an affordable price. I first had my taste of these delicious burgers back in 2012, we used to have them delivered at my work place in Cainta, Rizal. Back then, I didn’t know what to expect but I heard my boss refer to the burger as something that was: “better than sex”. Imagine just how extremely good that must be! They have a branch located at Vista Verde, Cainta Rizal which is right next to Phoenix Gas Station. The place was rather cramped up at that time. Anyways, the Cainta branch has expanded their dining facilities and they now have an air-conditioned area which was previously occupied by a liquor store.
Recently, HID just opened up a new franchise in Angono, Rizal. The place looks a lot cozier and overall elegant looking rather than the branch they have at Cainta. But I came in for their burgers and not their ambiance (which usally only matters to me when I’m out on a date.) Here is a panoramic view of HID’s new spot at Angono.
So, what makes HID burgers different from all the others? Well, first off their burger buns are made out of fluffy crumby pan de sal buns. It’s rather unusual but I like how they gave a Pinoy touch to the American meal. It goes well with their 100% chicken grilled patties. That’s right, they are 100% chicken! That’s why they’re a lot healthier and less greasier. The ingredients used into it are indeed flavorful that it actually doesn’t need any more condiments. (You’ll forget they even existed). The veggies that are added are so fresh that it could turn a non-vegetable eater into a veggie lover. (well, maybe not.)
The price on their burgers do not come with side dish of fries and a drink like with any other fast food store but I swear once your order is served you’ll definitely see how you paid your moneys worth. Just look at all that oozing mozzarella cheese!
If the look of the burgers doesn’t get your mouth watering up, wait till you indulge yourself into the first bite into these heavenly creations.
FYI: Fletcher Davis of Athens, Texas claimed to have invented the hamburger. According to oral histories, in the 1880s he opened a lunch counter in Athens and served a ‘burger’ of fried ground beef patties with mustard and Bermuda onion between two slices of bread, with a pickle on the side.
Our dining experience was overall satisfactory, food was beyond words could describe. Every bite was like: “Ang sarap!!” or “This is Delicious!” What needs a little work based on observation is the need to have the staff to become more familiar with the food that they serve. It happened twice at both branches (Cainta and Angono) the staff had no idea which was the BLT or the Bacon Mushroom Melt. Though they were attentive to our needs they simply do not know their food well enough. Knowing your product is extremely important at any restaurant. Another thing that I have noticed is that they also do not serve their utensils in a hygienic manner. One staff simply placed our forks and knives at our tables without any table napkins or tissue. In the other branch, I have noticed the exact same thing. The utensils were simply placed at the tray which was used to carry out our orders and again without any tissues.
Overall, the buns, the burger and the freshness of the ingredients will surely take the center stage into your taste buds. HID doesn’t just serve the best tasting burgers they have a variety of food on their menu that is also a must try: Spicy Buffalo Wings and the Cheesy Bacon Wedge Fries.
Now that you know a little something about the history of burgers and my overall satisfaction with HID. Why not head on to the HID branches near you and taste test for yourselves? I’m sure you won’t regret it!
Share your HID experience in the comments sections, I’d love to hear your feedback.
